Description
A devotional commentary on Revelation chapters 1-3. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the congregations!
How can you be certain you are ready for Messiah’s return? Join Sam Nadler on this verse-by-verse journey through the first three chapters of the book of Revelation.
Recorded by the apostle John, the book of Revelation was written c. 95 CE, during the reign and under the persecution of Domitian. John, the last living witness to the earthly ministry of Messiah Yeshua, had been exiled to the Roman prison island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea. Though addressed to the seven congregations in the Roman province of Asia (in present-day western Turkey), Revelation is applicable worldwide and is an encouragement for all believers in Yeshua the Messiah. The seven congregations are representative of the spiritual condition of believers everywhere, and the messages from Messiah Himself to those believers contain vital information for us.
The overall purpose of the book of Revelation is to call believers in Yeshua to be ready for Messiah’s return (Rev 1 :7). “Come quickly, Lord Yeshua!” The letters to the congregations enable us all to be encouraged by His commendations, cautioned by His warnings, and edified to be overcomers in Him.
This commentary was written to continue to show not only the Jewishness of the New Covenant but that the calling of God through the New Covenant and the Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah has not changed-for the Bible has not changed, and it is the authority of the Scripture that determines our calling to serve the One of whom the Bible speaks, who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever!” This devotional commentary on Revelation chapters 1-3 was written from a Messianic Jewish frame of reference. 346 pages.
