New from David Taylor!
Hear
David Taylor |
 |
Hear,
the new disc by worship leader and cantor David Taylor, certainly offers a
righteous collection of Messianic rock. Hear's themes and words are
taken from Scripture. Like David's previous record Avodah, it is a
worship album geared towards entering into God’s presence. Yet, one thing
that distinguishes this album from much that is out there, thematically and
musically, is its tension - a tension between Israel’s present and future
(“For Zion’s Sake,” “If I Forget You”); between living in this world
and living for the next (“Hear”); between realizing where one has
come from, and forgetting what lies behind, |
| focusing on the
Author and Perfecter of our faith (“Hope in the Lord,” “Kedushah”).
Conveying a Jewish sensibility, and a mature musical vocabulary, this
album's aim is true, and its goal is Yeshua. |

Avodah
David Taylor |
 |
David Taylor's debut release, Avodah, (Hebrew for
worship) is a collection of original Messianic worship songs written and
performed by David. The songs on
Avodah include Messianic as well as more contemporary worship songs,
which were written for Messianic congregational worship in mind.
From the uplifting "Ani Ma'amin" to the
upbeat "Lo Lanu HaShem", you'll find Avodah brings
Scripture to song in a
way that is exciting, worshipful and edifying! |
|
On Avodah
David is joined by fellow Hope of Israel worship group members Pat
Campbell, Gerry Lefkowitz, Miriam Nadler, & Ginny Smith, as well as special
friends Leslie Davis and Hannah Gruber. |
