The topic Sam can address depends on the desire and
focus of your church or organization.
Sam has a number of messages from various
portions of Scriptures including the 'classic portions' that are
often used for mission conferences such as:
Isaiah 6: 1-8
"Vision for Victory"
How can every believer 'step up to the plate' to serve? Learn from
the life of Isaiah.
Matthew 28:16-20 "The
Great Commission--Dealing With Doubt "
How are the final instructions
Messiah gave to his disciples our mandate for today? This message
reveals how God takes ordinary people and uses them in mighty ways
to bring good news to a lost world.
Jeremiah 31:1-3 "God's
Love for Israel and You"
This message focuses on the qualities of God's undying love to
Israel, and how this love should motivate believers to reach out
everyone.
Isaiah 9:1-9 "Messiah
Our Hope in the Midst of Darkness"
What is the message that our world needs to hear today? "The
people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that
dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light
shined...for unto us a Child is born..."
This message declares how God has sent His Son Messiah, the Light of
the world, and that in Him there is hope for all!
To give you an example of how Sam can utilize his
messages to fit the theme of the conference, in May, 2006 Sam
keynoted a missions conference in Connecticut. The theme was taken
from 2 Timothy 3:1, "But realize this, that in the last days
perilous times will come..." The phrase
"perilous times" was utilized as the theme for the
several speakers at the conference during the week:
"Perilous times for the college campus"
"Perilous Times for the family "
"Perilous times for Israel," on which Sam
spoke Saturday night.
Sunday morning Sam concluded the
conference using the Isaiah 9:1-9 portion, tailoring "Messiah
Our Hope in the Midst of Darkness" as "Messiah Our
Hope in the Midst of Perilous Times." It fit wonderfully,
the people were blessed and many decisions for Messiah were made.
Because Sam is a passionate, exhortative speaker,
churches will often request him to close the conference.
Sam can, of course, deliver messages that focus
on the God's plan for Israel and the need to reach out to the Jewish
people, but he usually includes this as part of his message to reach
the world. If you would like more
