For the 10th Annual Women’s retreat The Lover of My Soul, we prepared Scripture studies using parallels from ancient Jewish wedding customs. These offer striking similarities and a vivid picture of the great mystery of being Yeshua's Bride. As women we may struggle to find significance, security and fulfillment. |

However, as we
understood together our relationship to Messiah our Groom we discovered afresh that
as His Bride, we are seen, sought after and absolutely secure in His
love. In the first message, "A Match Made in Heaven," we learned how we are chosen to be Yeshua's Bride by our Heavenly Matchmaker. Yeshua paid the bride price by His own blood - how precious we are to Him! In the second message we discovered how in the present betrothal period or Kiddushim, each day matters for eternity. The culmination on Sunday morning was "The Song of our Great King" found in Psalm 45. We may assume that it is all about the bride, when it is actually about our Great King. His beauty and grace commands our attention and devotion as we live in anticipation of His return.
