Churches of the world unite

18 American Church Leaders call for Freezing Settlements
|
December
2001
As incredible as it may seem, what would be perceived by the world as the
'official' church of Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Messiah, the King of Israel,
and King of the Jews) has taken a political position condemming Israel for
Israel's right to defend herself. In a letter to Secretary of State Colin Powell, these churches from the World
Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches called for an end of Israel's right to have settlements within their own borders, called
for an end of Israel's right to militarily occupy the Gaza, the West Bank, & East Jerusalem. Threats of economic pressure
by boycotting goods made in Israel and diplomatic pressure are leveled against Israel by these church leaders.

Violation of Holy Scripture does not seem to bother the collective conscience of these leaders who published their
intentions. Without going into every name on the list, it does include...

Armenian Orthodox Ch.,

| Israel is surrounded on three sides by hostile, Muslim dominated countries (and to the north a not-always-so-friendly Europe). None of these have ever offered to take in
their Palestinian ‘brothers’, who before 1967 were not considered ‘Palestinians’, but
rather Jordanian citizens, thus perpetuating the myth of ‘The Palestinian nation’. |
Church World Service, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America,
Greek
Orthodox Church, United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, American Baptist Church,
Antiochian Orthodox Church, The Disciples of Christ Churches, Church of the Brethren, International
Council of Community Churches, Korean Presbyterian Church in America, Moravian Church,
Mennonite Ch., NCC, WWC, Reformed Church in America, Presbyterian Church, Syrian Orthodox Church of
Antioch, the Unitarian Universalist Association, and the United Church of Christ have all signed this
document along with the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem,
Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and in the Middle East, and the
Evan
gelical Lutheran Church of Jordan. On August 3, 2001 the WCC (World Council of Churches) coordinated
an ecumenical action that would try to develop ‘realistic’ proposals in 7
areas. These included... 1.) Coordinating advocacy with
governments, 2.) Boycotting goods from Israel that are made in the "occupied territories.” / Ed. How tragic that
those who would claim to speak for Jesus the Messiah, the Holy One of Israel, would so misrepresent Him and
take a stand with the world against His people Israel. “Woe to those who decree unrighteous
decrees...” (Isaiah 10:1).
At this very same conference, a church delegation from the US called
for Israel's withdrawal from occupied territories. Representatives
from NCC, United Methodists, Presbyterian Ch., United Church of
Christ, and the Disciples of Christ spoke against Israel's right to their
land.If you are a member of one of the previously mentioned church
es, you may want to write your leaders and express your feelings re
garding the Scriptures, the Jewish people, and the unbiblical position
they have taken on these issues. And of course, pray. “The effectual,
fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James (Jacob) 5:16

Facts regarding Israel |
Y August 24,
2001, Chinese Pres. Jiang Zemin vowed after his meeting with Yassir Arafat to continue backing the PLO, and
condemned Israel's use of “excessive force.”
Y The EU (European Union) supports the Palestinian “right of
return” , and across the board goes against the Jewish state. The EU objects to Israel’s right to defend themselves and have placed
themselves as political adversaries against Israel on every level.
Y During Tenet's visit to implement
'the Mitchell plan', Pres. George W. Bush’s home state Texas, suffered severe flooding. This was the 3rd
time since the Madrid Process (’91) that a sitting president's home state was hit with powerful storms at the exact same time the US
government was trying to divide the land of Israel. The first time was with
then Pres. George H. Bush: a storm destroyed his home in Maine.
Y Phase 2 of the Oslo Agreement was signed on Rosh Hashannah
(Sept. 28, ‘95).
In it, Israel was to give away 30% of Judea & Samaria (‘West Bank’). Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin said the Biblical
mandate from the Book of Genesis for the land grant from God is no longer relevant!
Barely one month later, Nov. 4, 1995: Prime Minister Rabin was assassinated. |
